Yale University's Whiffenpoofs Receive Another Encore From The Mount Nelson Hotel
South Africa, Cape Town, April 2007; The world‚s oldest and best-known collegiate a capella group, the Yale University‚s Whiffenpoofs are diarised to descend on the Mount Nelson Hotel in July which marks their third consecutive year to visit and perform at Cape Town‚s most famous hotel.
Founded in 1909, fourteen (14) senior Yale men are selected each year to form an a capella group that tours the globe during their summer vacation. Over the years, they have received extensive publicity around the globe and have performed for statesmen, world leaders and celebrities.
The Whiffenpoofs, who have performed to sell out performances at the Mount Nelson Hotel in the past two (2) years, will be entertaining this year on 19, 20 and 21 July. Afternoon Tea at the Mount Nelson‚s Lounge is the setting for these jet-setting singing gentlemen and as always, a lavish spread of sweet and savoury dainties and delicacies will be conjured up by Pastry Chef Samantha Waring.
