Gwynne Conlyn Publishing has gone from strength to strength from its inception, with what is known as the ‘Oscars’ of cookbook awards, the Gourmand Cookbook Awards for To the Banqueting House.

We focus on all things delicious – food and travel.

For contract publishing, we have a dedicated person to look after your needs as a client. This person will make available the best team for the specific job – and that includes the printer.

Available printers are based in Singapore, in India as well as in South Africa. The chosen printer is always the one who produces the best quality, at the best price.

My work career started at the Sunday Express newspaper in downtown Johannesburg.

After spending some years in New York I returned to work for the Vrye Weekblad (the only Afrikaans newspaper that championed the cause of free speech).

I write regularly for major newspapers and magazines.

As freelance radio broadcaster I worked for a number of years for SAfm and 702 Talk Radio. Presently my show, Delicious Travel is broadcast on Radio Today every Sunday. I also have a slot on ClassicFM every Saturday morning, focused on restaurant reviews.

After my first book, Delicious Travel (culinary adventures around South Africa) was published by Jacana Media in 2004 I formed my own publishing company,
Gwynne Conlyn Publishing
.

My second book, Food Gurus Uncovered (a celebration of South African cooks) was hailed as a milestone.

Presently I head up the advisory council for the Sunday Times Food Show, scheduled for early July 2006.

In 2006 I was a nominee for the Shoprite Checkers Woman of the Year award.

I have presented papers on Global Food Trends to companies such as Pick n Pay.

I am a public speaker.

I have received a Mondi award for journalism and two international awards - one for my first book,
Delicious Travel and the second, for the book published by my company last year, To  the  Banqueting  House (African cuisine - an epic journey).

I have been a judge for the SAPPI/PICA excellence in publishing for four years now and has also judged numerous chefs' competitions around the country.

Memberships include SA Public Speakers Association and SA Chefs Association.
